The Sims 4 is a life simulation game, similar to its predecessors. Players create a Sim character and control their life to explore different personalities which change the way the game plays out. Sims can multitask such as talk while doing a task. Sims' moodlets also change the gameplay. For example, a Sim can do a task while being either angry or totally excited.In The Sims 4 there is no clearly defined plot, and the gameplay is nonlinear and does not have a given final goal. The player controls a character created by himself, directing him to perform various activities and creating relationships with other characters similar to real life. The actions of the game take place in fictional worlds performed in the spirit of modernity. They are populated by already ready-made families and non-player characters who live in it according to given storylines. At any time the player can take control of any family and without any restrictions in their actions to change the course of events.
